Police recovers kidnapped woman, accused arrested | KNO

Srinagar, May 29 (KNO) : A missing report of a woman (name withheld) of Sarmarg Handwara was lodged in Police Post Zachaldara.

The said woman was missing since 21.05.2018. During the investigation, it revealed that the said lady had been kidnapped by Shabir Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Khan resident of Cherpawave Vilgam. Consequently, a police party of Police Post Zachaldara headed by DO Zachaldara was constituted and raids were conducted at different locations and finally the kidnapped lady was traced out from Kupwara near Kupwara hospital.

After completing all legal formalities, the said lady was handed over to her family and the accused person was arrested. In this regard, a case FIR No 206/2018 under section 366 RPC has been registered and further investigation taken up.
